The Black male child Jarkeius Adside vanished on October 18, 2001, when a home invasion robbery occurred in Miami Florida. The babysitter Gwendolyn Brown cared for Jarkeius at that time because his parents were in jail. Brown reported that three unknown men invaded her residence near Southwest 296th Street and 158th Avenue when she stepped outside to walk her teenage daughter to the bus stop. The robbers tied her and her boyfriend Jeffrey Cochran with duct tape before demanding money from them.

The pair managed to free themselves after hearing a gunshot to discover their house had been robbed and Jarkeius was gone along with several stolen items. The last time anyone saw him he wore a red, white, and blue shirt and a diaper while his hair was braided. The missing child may respond to the nickname “Kisha” while possibly needing medical care because of an injury.

The authorities have not made any arrests in this case and Jarkeius has not been found since his disappearance when he was one year old. The non-family abduction case remains unsolved.
