The Pennsylvania State Police are now offering a $5,000 reward as part of their ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Tamara “Tammy” Dawn Porrin, a teenager from DuBois who went missing almost 40 years ago, still leaving many questions unanswered.
Tammy Porrin was just 15 when she was reported missing in 1994, although the last confirmed sighting of her dates back to November 26, 1986, according to investigators. The DuBois barracks troopers are at the forefront of the investigation into her disappearance.
At the time of her disappearance, Porrin was a student in the eighth grade at DuBois Junior High School and had a history of truancy and running away from home with her sister due to frequent arguments with their parents.
Porrin was described as being 5 feet tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes when she went missing in 1986.
The State Police are appealing to the public for information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to help resolve the case. People can contact the PSP DuBois Station directly on 814-938-0532 or submit tips anonymously through PSP Tips on 1-800-472-8477. A $5,000 reward is offered for information that helps resolve Tammy’s disappearance case.
