West Midlands Police officers have recovered Sheila Fox, who disappeared in 1972, alive and well.

Fox, who was in her 60s, had been linked to an older man and might have changed her name. She had been staying with her late parents. When police appealed for information in December 2024, they said she might have moved elsewhere to live. Officers identified one photo of Fox taken at the approximate time of her disappearance and shared it on the force’s website and social media.
